SAGE's United States precinct returns for 1992–2024 were collected
from each state's own election office. This page lists what was used for every state-year:
the document that the votes came from, the source of that document,
and the boundary layer that each unit's shape was obtained from. Click each year to
open it. Percent indicates how many of the electoral units are geocoded.
Note that in some state-years the current data
are at the county level; these will be updated to the precinct level when
the data are found and processed. These state-years are marked co.

New York 2012 is the one case where a compilation is preferred over an office's
own document: no New York authority published a statewide sub-county file, and
twenty-one counties rest on a re-keyed one. Twenty-eight of the thirty-nine
counties also built from board documents reproduce it district for district.
